CranioSacral Therapy + SomatoEmotional Release
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle therapy using a light touch, designed to release holding patterns by tapping in to the body’s self-healing nature. The CranioSacral system of the body is made up of the protective layers of connective tissue and the cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the central nervous system. CST releases tension and restrictions within this system, which can have positive effects on many aspects of one’s health. Treatments can be structural in nature for healing from many ailments from migraine to concussion or postural holding patterns. SomatoEmotional Release is an advanced aspect of CranioSacral Therapy for emotional processing (we *strongly* encourage scheduling a phone consultation to answer any questions and make sure you and your practitioner will be the correct fit).
Massage Therapy
Massage sessions at Haven blend a variety of massage modalities that work effectively to reduce pain and unlock patterns of holding and release the manifestation of stress in the body. Treatment plans are curated by carefully listening to the needs of the individual and tuning in to what the body is presenting. Practitioners at Haven are all experienced and specialized in other forms of bodywork, so their style is influenced by the focus of their practice. We suggest reading our bios to determine the practitioner who best suits your needs.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture sessions include thorough consultation and review of health history. Treatment includes acupuncture needling (traditional and trigger point) as well adjunctive care like acupressure or cupping as needed.
Arvigo Therapy (Maya Abdominal Massage)
The Arvigo® techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage are a non-invasive method of correcting the position of abdominal organs that have shifted due to injury, time, and other causes, helping the body to restore it’s natural balance and energy. Using gentle repositioning massage to guide reproductive and abdominal organs back to their proper position, Arvigo practitioners help to correct misalignment and remove pelvic and abdominal restrictions. Additionally, clients are taught home self-care massage, which empowers clients to continue and enhance the benefits gained with their practitioner.

Virtual Somatic Bodywork
How do you practice a therapy typically reliant on touch while being socially distant? Following the core principle of CST that within each of our bodies is a remarkable potential for self-healing, this unique approach to bodywork was born using body-mind centering techniques to curb anxiety, ease pain and promote grounded awareness during early stages of the pandemic. Clients who are not able to visit the office for any reason can find relief though this unique blend of body dialogue, guided self-treatment, with movement elements of trauma-sensitive yoga.
Phone Consultation
For new clients only, a phone consultation of 15 minutes is complimentary to help answer questions about our services (credit card will not be charged any fee).
Zero Balancing
Zero Balancing is a treatment system of energy work, skilled touch and passive movement that works with both the structural and energy systems, bringing balance to these systems as well as how they relate to one another. The principles of Zero Balancing teach that our deepest currents of energy lie within our bones and when stress, injury, emotions, etc. create imbalance within these energy currents, these imbalances precede disease or disorder. Treating these subclinical imbalances can therefore be both nourishing to the body as well as preventative of future disharmonies. Zero Balancing practitioners treat clients while fully clothed and use a combination of lifting, stretching and other passive movements of the clients' body, as well as pressing and holding, all with particular attention paid to the bone and joints as and their energy channels within. These techniques create a fulcrum or points of balance, to restore and reorganize the clients' system. The result enables the client to feel more engaged on the levels of body, mind and spirit; both energy and physical function can improve dramatically. Zero Balancing sessions are best for clients who are seeking a shift in perspective, a new way to engage with their body, or a deeper sense of harmony.
